COWBOY BEBOP FAQs Part 3

Q: What's the difference between a CC ship and a named ship?
A: CCs can be flown by anyone, whereas named ships are privately
owned and can only be flown by the pilot, copilot, or owner, or
someone who has the skill hijack.

Q: How do you fly a ship?
A: To fly a public ship, you simply type "open cc" and then "board cc"
or "enter cc". To fly a private ship, the same rules apply unless you
are not a pilot on the ship, then it requires you to "pick [ship]", "enter
[ship]", and "hijack [ship]." Pickshiplock and hijack are high smuggling
skills, though, and they can't be used by just anyone.

Q: How do you get to Zephyr City from Dayton via walking?
A: From the Dayton City Interlink, found by walking west from
the airport or east from Town Square.

Q: Who sells the best weapons?
A: That's something you generally have to decide for yourself,
depending on what weapon-types you like. Clan weapons give extra
dr/hr and stats, but weapons made by the Galactic League of Merchants
do great damage as well. Also, heavy weapons do a lot of damage, but
have very few rounds per ammo clip.

Q: How do I join a clan?
A: You go up to the Leader, First, or Second of the clan you want to
join (found by typing "clans"), and ask to join. Some clans have stat
limits, however, meaning that you have to have X level in combat or all
of your base stats at X before you can join.

Q: How do I gain skills?
A: Skills are generally gained by first learning the skill if it's
at 0% in your "practice" list by going to a trainer (The master in the
Venus Dojo and the pilot in Dayton spaceport are two that come to mind)
and typing "prac [skill]". However, that only gets the skill up so
far. You have to actively practice the skill to make it go up. Players
with high Wis and Int levels can also teach you skills at a higher level
than the NPC trainers, but you have to find them first.

Q: What counts as "botting"?
A: Botting on this mud is defined by A) using triggers when you're not
at the computer to gain skills, or B) backlogging a skill infinitely so
that you could go away and come back thirty minutes later and have your
character still practicing said skill. Basically, anything that doesn't
require you to be at the computer while playing the mud counts as botting.
