Mars is the planet most people start out on, being that it is by far the most populated planet in the solar system. The cities are a patchwork of areas that resemble Hong Kong or New York. The capital city is Tharsis. Two of the largest cities are Dayton and Zephyr; they are connected to each other by a protected glass highway, like most other cities. While these two cities possess the main spaceports and a large portion of commerce on the planet, they are far from the only cities.

Terraforming
Mars, being full of craters, was terraformed quite differently than all the other colonies. Each individual crater was enclosed and terraformed, a small little atmosphere developed within each enclosure, not unlike biosphere projects that were preformed on Earth in the 20th century. Each crater is separately climate controlled by complex control rooms run by city government. Everything is controlled here, including the percieved time of day, heat, and weather.
Civilized History
Mars has a long and complex history, being the first planet man kind colonized and teraformed, and other than the now desolate earth, has the longest time for its own unique culture to develop. Due to the urban culture of much of the planet, crime has spread like wildfire, becoming what borders on an acceptable proffession by much of the population.
Cities
Tharsis
Tharsis is the capital city of Mars, constructed inside a gigantic crater. It is by far the biggest city on the planet, and houses many landmarks, including the capital building and the old Red Dragon Syndicate Headquarters. Tharsis is generally modeled after the old American city, New York.
Dayton
Dayton is the southernmost city. It is relatively small, but it's spaceport is useful for any travellers who don't have their own ship, as rentable ships are guaranteed to be there. At the police station in Dayton, people may enlist in the RBH. Unsavory characters seem limited to weak criminals and gang members. In Dayton, there is a Broadcast station, an auctionhouse, a mall, as well as a place for ships to be auctioned in.
Zephyr
Zephyr is the northern city. It is reachable from Dayton via a highway. Bounty hunters and repossessors can find work here, and people who wish to practice their engineering may do so as well, as this city has a number of well-placed shops and a factory. Zephyr city also happens to be the location of the current headquarters of the Red Dragon Syndicate, moved from Tharsis city in 2072, it's one of the main capitals for organized crime in the solar system.
